FHA Table Reference¶
The FHA table represents the functional breakdown and its failure information in four nested levels.
| Level | Meaning | Ownership or relationship |
|---|---|---|
| Functional | Functions from the functional breakdown, listed recursively. | A function can have one or more failure conditions. |
| Failure Condition | A failure condition associated with a function. | One failure condition can affect more than one function. |
| Failure Condition Feature | The failure condition during a particular flight phase. | Owned exclusively by one failure condition. |
| Failure Condition Effect | The effect during that phase on an entity such as the system, occupants, or crew. | Owned by one failure-condition feature. |

The documented workflow edits the following data directly in the table:
- label;
- name;
- failure type;
- phase of flight;
- effect and affected entity;
- severity;
- assumptions;
- safety studies.
See Build an FHA for the editing procedure.
