Configure FHA Data

Create the enumerations and model elements used by the FHA before building the table.

Configure failure types

  1. Right-click MBSA Package.
  2. Select Add Capella Element... > Failure Type Type.
  3. Double-click the new Failure Type element.
  4. Change its name to Failure Types.
  5. In Enumeration Literals, select +.
  6. Name the failure type, for example, Total Loss.
  7. Repeat the previous two steps for every failure type required by the project.

Configure phases of flight

Phases of flight are modeled as Capella states so that existing system states can be reused.

  1. In the project tree, open Structure > System > System State Machine > Default Region.
  2. Right-click Default Region and select Add Capella Element... > State.
  3. Double-click the new state and set its Name.
  4. Repeat for each phase, for example, On ground, Take off, or On route.

Configure stakeholders

Stakeholders are modeled as Capella entities.

  1. Right-click Structure and select Add Capella Element... > System actor.
  2. Double-click the new system actor and set its Name.
  3. Repeat for each stakeholder, for example, Crew or Occupants.

Configure severity classifications

  1. Right-click MBSA Package.
  2. Select Add Capella Element... > Severity Type.
  3. Double-click the new Severity Type element.
  4. Change its name to Severity Types.
  5. In Enumeration Literals, select +.
  6. Name the severity type, for example, Minor or Major.
  7. Repeat the previous two steps for every severity classification required by the project.
